*NEW* A letter from the Southern Exposure Board of Directors has been added to the Contribute page.
Building safe homes for the impoverished families of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico through an immersion program enabling Mexicans to begin living a dignified life in their own country.
Southern Exposure was established as a building immersion program in 2000 to respond to incredibly harsh living conditions in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Ciudad Juarez is located just minutes across the United States-Mexico border from El Paso Texas. As Deacon Mike Howard, founder of Southern Exposure, surveyed the miles and miles of impoverished conditions in Juarez, he felt a calling to help improve the situation of as many families as possible.
Since 2000, Southern Exposure, Inc, a non profit 501(C) (3) corporation, has built over 250 homes for the people of Juarez. About 30% of the homes built today are for single women with children.
